Commissions

Commission Policy

Welcome! I'm excited you are interested in a custom piece in my current style.

Procedure

Commissions are collaborations, and it all begins with an initial conversation and in-take form where we discuss and agree on a vision. I'll provide digital sketches and mood boards at this stage to ensure alignment.

Pricing and Payment

Each piece varies on its complexity, materials, and size. Pricing is agreed upon during the first initial conversations. Payments are made through a private link on my site. 50% of the payment is due upon project agreement, and 50% after final approval but before shipment.

Revisions
Art is a process and I want you to be delighted with the outcome. Two rounds of revisions are included in the initial pre-payment phase. Please note that significant revisions after the creation process has begun may incur additional costs.

Rights

You will own the physical artwork. As the artist, I retain image rights to all commissioned pieces, meaning I can use images for promotional purposes, portfolio inclusion, and merchandise. Exclusive rights are available for additional costs and can be discussed during the initial call.

Termination

I'm confident that you will be thrilled with the outcome of the commissioned artwork. In the rare event that you wish to terminate the commission, you can do this at any time before payment has been made. Please note that the initial deposit is non-refundable to cover time and material costs.

FAQs

Q: How long does a commission process typically take?

A: This depends largely on the size and complexity of the piece, but generally, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. We will agree on a timeline during initial conversations.

Q: Can commissions be based on work I see on your site?

A: Absolutely! While each piece is unique, I can use previous work as inspiration.

Q: Do you do book art commissions?

A: Yes! Bookish art is one of my favorite things to create and it has its own unique process. I'd encourage you to email me if you are interested in book-related imagery.
