Escape

At this point in the journey, I am realizing that beauty in art, for me, is rooted in the artist’s authenticity – the willingness to study themselves, the world, recognize both light and shadow, and merge craft with an internal sense of truth. This understanding has emerged through the themes explored in the collection: imagination, balance, light, harmony, perspective-shifting, stillness, and a willingness to face difficult emotions. It also requires play, rest, and recovery. Escape depicts an invented beach (one of my favorite places to relax!) serving as a refuge. Here, beauty does not ask to be analyzed or defined. Instead, it is something we allow.
